"Music Therapy Project for Children with Special Educational Needs: Introduction and Practical Knowledge" - 1st online workshop 23/2/2024 Live Streaming

I had the honor and pleasure of coordinating the 1st online workshop "Music Therapy Project for Children with Special Educational Needs: Introduction and Practical Knowledge" on the 23rd of February 2024 as the bilateral initiative is being implemented under the Active citizens fund in Greece by Imagine Heritage Non-Profit and its partners the Norwegian Non-Profit Culture Break Borders and Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door.

During the online Seminar Workshop, we learned that nothing bridges the gap of prejudice and enhances communication between people like music. Creativity plays a vital role in the development of personality, identity, and equal social relationships.

We also learned about disabilities and their Medical and Social Models.

We explored the way music and art can be a tool of interaction and expression.

We were honored to have a young person with a disability to talk about the theatre in his life.

We heard about the challenges of people with disabilities and how artistic activities can provide a fertile ground of interaction, allowing people to evolve and liberate.
